Thirty–nine Year 7 students went to Paris from 22nd – 25th April 2017. They stayed in a château – the Grande Château Romaine, in Lesigny, just outside Paris. The students had a great time. We had a day in Paris when we went up Montparnasse (a skyscraper with 56 floors!) to observe the view of Paris, visited the Eiffel Tower, went on a boat trip (Les Bateaux Mouches) on the Seine and then went to Montmartre where we explored the artists’ quarter and saw the Sacre Coeur.
The next day we went to a hypermarket in the morning where students were given money to buy the ingredients to make a healthy lunch. We prepared the lunch back at the château before an afternoon of outdoor activities. These included archery, the high trapeze, abseiling and swimming. On the final day we went to Eurodisney Paris before heading home. There were also exciting evening activities. These included singing around a campfire, making pancakes (crêpes) and a races evening. The students behaved impeccably and were a real credit to the school. We all had a lovely time!
