Highlights from our Year 8 Trip to Paris. Click 'Continue Reading' for more.
52 Year 8 students went to Paris from the 24th to the 27th of May 2019. We arrived on Friday to our lovely chateau – The Grande Château Romaine in Lesigny, for a quick tour and some dinner.
The Saturday kicked off with a trip to the local market in Melun where students practised their French ordering skills to purchase lunch to be made in the Chateau.
Congratulations to our winners, Tyler, Quinn, Harry P, Erin P, Morgan, Lilly B and Samuel.
We then finished this day doing a variety of activities where spirits were high, despite the rain!
On Sunday, we visited Paris, starting with Montparnasse (a skyscraper with 56 floors) to observe the great views of Paris! Our students (and staff) were busy capturing photos throughout the day with the gallery below.
Our final day saw a trip to Disneyland Paris where our students enjoyed rides and spending time in the French sun. A highlight being the Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster which sent everyone’s hair crazy! Read more about this day in a review by Emma in 8T.
“The Paris trip was brilliant as well as Disney being so much fun (except for waiting in line for 45 minutes for some chips). I really enjoyed doing the activities with my friends and making new friends across the period of this trip which I found is going to great when we go back to school. I really enjoyed going to Paris especially when we went to the Eiffel Tower. Disneyland was super fun. After I went on Rock 'n' Rollercoaster 3 times, my hair was crazy (so was all of the teacher's hair especially Mr Ward). Hyperspace Mountain was really fun (even if I was sitting next to a complete stranger). If this trip was ever on again, I would definitely do it again!”
