We held our second Skills Day of the year on 13th March and it was a packed day for all the students.
Click below to see just some of the activities that the students enjoyed.
Year 7 Continental Cafe Day - Students were given the opportunity to try a range of French and German activities and food as well as work in teams to produce a French or German café. They worked on menus and used props and dressing up to bring their ideas to life.
Year 8 Gothic Horror Day - Our Year 8 students took the Friday 13th theme quite literally and immersed themselves in Gothic Horror with the help of visiting author William Hussey. Each student created their own Gothic Horror story with workshops in literacy and illustration.
Year 9 Army and Maths Day - Each team of Year 9 students were given a series of tasks to complete using a variety of skills such as resilience, problem-solving, map skills and using co-ordinates.
Year 10 Mock Interview/Work Related Day - Each Year 10 student completed a 'mock interview' with a local business and also took part in multiple choice scenarios which challenged them to think like senior management. Students also had the opportunity to take part in a Virtual Reality Experience designed to inform, entertain and inspire young people about the logistics industry.
