The ICT department seeks to enable students to use ICT effectively to communicate their ideas and to present their work, as well as collect and handle data and use ICT to control events. In order to achieve this students are given opportunities to learn skills in a variety of software applications and acquire transferable skills and ICT capability. Each unit of work at Key Stage 3 will include the use of a number of software packages. Throughout the units students will be expected to plan, draft, create, refine, test and evaluate their work with reference to the audience and purpose.
At Key Stage 4 students are offered the opportunity to extend their studies in Computer Science & ICT.
