Chef of the Month

The Chef of the Month award for October 2022 has been awarded jointly to two students: Phoebe Evans and Ava Bell, both Year 10 students. They both made a Bakewell Tart with a light sweet shortcrust pastry topped with frangipane and finished with feathered glace icing - it was topped with a glace cherry. Congratulations to both students.

Well done to Mackenzie England, a Year 10 Hospitality & Catering student, who has been awarded Chef of the Month for January. Mackenzie made some delicious profiteroles in class this month, as you can see below – not an easy dish to master.

Year 7 student Keaton Leonard has been awarded Chef of the Month for December. During his food technology practical lessons this term Keaton has impressed Mrs Dury by working independently and always having an organised work area. He has produced some appetising dishes.

Lexi Old in Year 10 is the winner of November’s Chef of the Month. Lexi made a delicious Chocolate Log with light sponge, filled with whipped cream and coated in a dark chocolate ganache. Well done Lexi!

October's Chef of the Month was jointly awarded to Nina Cole and Chloe Draper, both in Year 8. Both students are amazing chefs who handmade the pastry for their quiches and added vegetables to make them healthier. Both students are always super-organised and work well independently. Congratulations!

Year 9 student Olivia Hiscocks was awarded the Chef of the Month award for September for her refreshing Elderflower & Lemon cake. Well done Olivia!
